The Main Purpose Of The Job

You will sell the full range of Aortic & Peripheral Vascular (APV) equipment and disposable products, in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals and to build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage and gain greater market share all the times.

A Day In The Life

• You will conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Systems and services to existing and potential doctors
• You will implement quarterly sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Educate doctors and conduct in-service training to theatre staff.
• You will provide product and technical support and service to Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, General Surgeons and Fellows.
• By controlling expenses, product inventory and consignment you will fiscally manage your territory.
• You will establish a solid base of business by building and maintaining relationships with theatre staff and surgeons
• You will complete administrative reporting as assigned to you (for example: expense reports, sales activity reports, account profiles and analysis).
• As part of the role you will be required to be available after hours and on weekends for Aortic and Peripheral cases for KZN if and when required.

Must Have

• Three years’ medical sales experience specifically in the Peripheral Vascular field
• Experience calling on surgeons in the peripheral field
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
• Solid knowledge of the Medical Reimbursement climate
• Experience in developing new, innovative markets
• Tertiary qualification (Degree or diploma)
• Must be insurable and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Ability to be comfortable in the theatre environment

Travel Required

Locally based with Country Trips to KZN
