    Legal Counsel

    Job Purpose

    • Provide legal support to all businesses of Cipla in One Africa to ensure the legal compliance of such businesses, under the supervision of the –Head of Legal – One Africa.

    Key Accountabilities 

    • Legal Support - To provide strategic legal support and advice to all stakeholders in One Africa in a range of business areas, including finance, commercial (sales, marketing and businessdevelopment), marketing, regulatory, medical services, HR, corporate governance and Cipla Foundation and to contribute to the drafting of policies and processes.
    • Dispute and Litigation Management - To assist in advising on and managing disputes with the view to resolve disputes in a cost-effective manner, before proceeding with arbitration or litigation and to assist in managing litigation process, including sourcing and managing external counsel.
    • Contract Drafting and Review - Draft and review contracts for every business area across the organisation, Draft master agreements for recurring business models so as to standardise key terms and streamline the contract review process, Ensure that contracts are of a consistently high quality, practically implementable, substantially fulfils the businesses’ requirements, and are compliant with the relevant legislation, Good drafting skills.
    • Maintaining Legal Database - Updating legal records for all legal documents, Filing of legal documents, Maintain a repository of all legal documents.

    Educational qualifications

    • LLB / Equivalent or Degree in Law recognised in South Africa / admitted attorney or equivalent

    Relevant experience:

    • 5 - 8 years post-articles legal experience or equivalent
    • Corporate and Commercial Law experience is prerequisite
    • Negotiation and persuasive skills
    • Litigation Management
    • Good drafting skills
    • Experience in employment/labour matters
    • Self-motivated

    National Sales Manager OTC

    Job Purpose

    • Devise and manage strategies and techniques for achieving consistent and profitable growth in OTC sales revenues and targets through effective planning, deployment and management of sales personnel by keeping the team motivated in order to achieve OTC sales targets and thereby achieving the strategic objectives and continuously generating new opportunities for the organisation.

    Accountabilities

    • Drive and Implement Cipla Medpro OTC Sales Agenda, Strategy and Policy for the organisation and respective geographic locations to achieve the sales and business results for the country
    • Manage and administer the OTC sales function effectively for all the regions assigned to achieve the desired sales and profitability
    • Implement the sales plans for the team to motivate and reward them for their performance and achievement of OTC sales targets on time
    • Establish effective reporting and forecasting processes for the sales team to ensure timely and up to date reporting of the OTC sales
    • Collaborate cross functionally to align and identify opportunities to support the achievement of OTC sales objectives and profitability for the business
    • Lead and manage the OTC sales team by developing and motivating them to achieve the objectives and advance their career

    Qualification and Relevant Experience

    • Relevant Degree in Business Management
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in a sales role covering all the areas of the function preferably within Pharma industry and more than 5 years’ experience as Regional Sales Manager and must possess Leadership & People skills, Negotiation & Influencing skills, good networking skills and an ability to work under pressure.
