Product Manager at AECI Limited

Job description

Major Duties / Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product ranges within the Polymers portfolio.
• Liaise on all necessary product related issues with local and international sources.
• Interact with Key Accounts and grow market share with regard to his or her product range.
• Must be able to communicate product trends with the national sales team and accounts when necessary.
• Implement strategies for effective procurement.
• Must be able to source and evaluate new potential sources.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Manage stock levels effectively and procure in accordance with forecasts and Working Capital requirements.
• Provide regular summaries and analyses of product and market trends, stock movements, profit trends, threats and opportunities.
• Determine selling prices on his/her product range.
• Must be prepared to travel.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Matric or equivalent level of education.
• Tertiary qualification of a chemical nature will be preferred.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years Product Management experience, preferably related to polymers industry.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years Sales experience, preferably related to polymers industry.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years Technical experience, preferably related to polymers industry.
• Must have experience in managing foreign suppliers and principles on supply chain matters.
