Job summary

A large, exciting division of a large, JSE listed company, is seeking to employ an astute Operational Finance Manager to join and manage a moderately sized team. The incumbent will collaborate with the Financial Director to consume complete responsibility for the full management reporting function of the organization. You will be in the thick of things, making strategic and operational decisions pertaining to cost control, JVS, feasibilities, CAPEX, etc. This is not a traditional FM role – apply right away!

Qualification:

CA(SA) or CIMA

Skills & Experience:

• FMCG / Manufacturing Accounting exp. Highly advantageous
• 3 – 5 years’ commercial experience
• Great business acumen
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Staff management experience

Experience in the following aspects:

•  Management accounts experience
•  Staff management
•  Operationally inclined
•  Identifying, analyzing and managing cost drivers of the business
•  ERP Systems implementation
•  Cost control
•  CAPEX
•  IRR calculations
•  Experience in feasibilities re new sites and JVS
•  Budgeting and Forecasting experience

Job Description:

Duties will include but not be limited to, the following:

• Full responsibility for the full management reporting function
• Monthly management accounts
• Cost control
• CAPEX motivations and negotiations
• Operational management of profit impact
• Full responsibility of budgeting and forecasting
• Review of contracts
• Consolidation and streamlining of management reporting
• Assist with ERP systems implementation, particularly maintenance control, cost and management accounting and inventory valuations
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
