    Development and Retention Specialist

    Job description

    Job summary

    This is a Client Development and Retention Role (Strong Farming Skills Required). Responsible for all client service delivery, retention, upselling to increase revenue and profitability. Develops and implements agreed upon Development and Retention Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of retaining client base. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of client satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Develop and build long standing client relationship at all levels (operational and executive level) through meaningful client engagement.
    • Develop and maintain account strategies to develop and retain client accounts to increase revenue, profitability and longevity of the account.
    • Identify opportunities within client base by upselling or increasing share of wallet
    • Maintain weekly client account reporting to be submitted to National Sales Manager
    • Meet daily/weekly metrics, target and sales proposal deadlines
    • Complete written proposals and or tenders accurately and professionally
    • Maintain sales professional standards at all times
    • Be a Pointer Brand Ambassador

    Compulsory Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree/diploma in marketing, business administration, technology or similar
    • The skills set required is STRONG Client retention and relationship building skills.
    • 4-6 years of client retention and account management experience in the corporate technical sales environment.
    • Experience with Vehicle Telematics Industry (preferential but not a must) and Mobile Resource Management or Software as a Service industry advantageous.
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of customer relationship management
    • Strong understanding of customer and decision making dynamics is a key requirement.
    • Willingness to travel and work within a team of professionals.
    • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and work under quarterly review.
