- Developing systems - that are simple but effective, to solve business challenges. You will need initiative, plus best practices to help oversee the build of a reliable system.
- Using your technical expertise - in a fast moving environment with multiple systems, you will spend much of your day figuring out to integrate different systems. The role will test your capacity to understand customer experience, attention to detail, and a commercial approach to timescales, costs and deadlines

What traits should a Lead Developer / CTO have?
- Someone who has travelled and has an infectious passion for travel
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Capable of self-management & self-actualization
- Problem-solving nature
- Strong project management skills
- Loves to be challenged and pushed outside of their professional comfort zone
- Familiarity with or willingness to dive deep into the workings of the following platforms / software: Tourplan, Wetu, Craft CMS, Sharpspring / Salesforce
Full Stack Knowledge:
- Server, Network, and Hosting Environment
- Data Modeling
- Business Logic
- API layer / Action Layer / MVC
- User Interface (PHP / HTML5 / CSS / Javascript including node)
- User Experience
- Understanding what the customer and the business need
- Integration of XML Feed
Day to day responsibilities:
- Together with the CEO and other key stakeholders you will be responsible for developing and executing on the project delivery plan for the various technology needs of the business: website, tour planning / operating system, CRM etc.
- Above all, you will be expected to deliver (multiple) effective solutions within short timeframes that solve business-critical problems, we favour simplicity over complexity, action over talk
