    Social Media Manager

    Job description

     

    Do you have social media skills worth bragging about? Are you a master at balancing strategic thinking with creativity? Are you prepared to disrupt the status quo in a constant quest to creatively change the world of social media through innovation and out the box thinking? Do you thrive on all things digital and is trend-watching part of your daily diet?

    Main responsibilities 
    This exciting role requires a high level of strategic thinking and a comprehensive understanding of social media and content marketing. These will be your main responsibilities:

     

    • Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics.
    • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business.
    • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results.
    • Long-term planning of social media for achieving business objectives is required.
    • Explore and research new social networks and make recommendations to optimise reach and engagement.
    • Manage the social media budgets effectively.
    • Responsible for Facebook Customer interaction and responses on Hootsuite seven days of the week.
    • Execute innovative, creative social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
      • Curate relevant content to reach the company’s ideal customers.
      • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
      • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
      • Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
      • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
      • Oversee design (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).
      • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
      • Compile report for management showing results (ROI).

     

    Requirements

     

    • Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
    • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
    • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and software programs, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Hoootsuite, Mention, FaceBook Adverts Manager etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
    • Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
    • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “search and social”.
    • Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress
    • Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies
    • Seven+ years' in a digital agency with social media management experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree and/or digital marketing qualification.
    • Available seven days a week to respond to Customer queries etc
