    Accounts Receivable Clerk

    Job description

    The Position

    The temporary position of Accounts Receivable Clerk sits within the Accounts Department and is responsible for the general administration in the Accounts Department.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Office administration
    • Attend to Walk-in students, providing excellent customer service in all their finance queries & requests i.e. account/debtors enquiries, customer statements and invoices.
    • Dealing with Telephonic Accounts/Debtors queries
    • Responding to the accounts email inbox within 48 hours
    • Assisting with the AOD administration process i.e. checking all compiled documents and compare to the check list. Requesting the correct and relevant info when needed. Providing feedback on application outcome.
    • Process receipting daily i.e.
    • Reconcile receipts to bank statements
    • Update Receipting Spreadsheet
    • Process receipts in Accpac
    • Process credit card transactions from I-Veri
    • General Office Administration i.e. filing, credit balance reports
    • Ensure Monthly Statements & Invoices reaches debtors
    • Refunds to be checked and processed weekly when needed.
    • Process accounts adjustments when requested.
    • Ad Hoc admin duties as and when required
    • Assist with outstanding debtors collections

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Grade 12 qualification (essential)
    • Higher tertiary qualification (preferred)
    • Must have a good command of the following software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with Accpac accounting software (preferred)
