    New Business Development Manager

    Job description

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Degree or property related qualification

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 - 5 years property experience - Letting, Sales and Acquisitions
    • Commercial, Industrial and Retail real estate experience

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for targeting corporate organisations - Letting, Acquisitions and Sales
    • Responsible for the renewal of existing leases and to upsell to a selected group of existing clients

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Ability to generate new leads
    • Ability to close leads
    • Set up and maintain database of leads
    • Excellent communicator
    • Independent and efficient
    • Regulatory knowledge as applicable to role
    • Understand and follow all relevant compliance considerations, including the regulatory environment and appropriate processes, procedures and their implications
    • Strong interpersonal skills (influencing), both internally and with prospective clients
    • A natural networker
    • Financial diagnostic skills - the ability to understand a prospective client's needs and identify where the company can add value
    • Commercially minded and ability to convert opportunities to actual transactions
    • Driven and tenacious in setting client acquisition targets and self-managing performance to ensure these targets are attained
    • Ability to prioritise, always maintaining the primary objective
    • Good understanding of the South African real estate market
    • Willingness for regular business travel
    • Ability to work with and manage people
