Requirements

• 10+ years of which at least 5 years must be as Lead Process Engineer
• EPC / EPCM Environment
• Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas or Similar Environment
• Extensive Multi-Office Project Experience
• Extensive Multi-Project Phase Experience
• Experience in Managin g Process Engineering on Projects
• Experience in preparation of project engineering budget Manage, Oversee and Approve various P&ID’s
• Manage, Oversee and Approve various layout drawings/ and Plot plan reviews, various Process Datasheets and material Specifications
• Manage, Oversee and Approve simulation models and Technical reports
• Manage, Oversee and Approve basis of design specification development
• Manage, Oversee and Approve project standard specifications, design criteria and design calculations sheets
• Manage, Oversee and Approve PFD’s Process Flow Diagrams and P&ID’s
• Manage, Oversee and Approve development heat & material balance, process equipment datasheets
• Manage, Oversee and Approve equipment & line lists, design conditions, calculations (relief-valve, control-valve, depressurizing, line-sizing & pressure drop)
• Conduct and Oversee design reviews
• Participate in HAZOP to improve plant design safety
• Manage, Oversee and Approve DHSE plans, which arise from the use of hazardous materials
• Conduct, Oversee & Approve Site visitations
• Oversee collaboration with the drafting team to ensure all drawings and designs are in-line with project specifications.
• Oversee Liaison with various departments to successfully complete the Process Scope of Work
• Manage, Oversee and Approve technical bid analysis & tabulation which will be used to select appropriate vendors
• Provide solutions based on client requirements that are in line with the company’s business model
• Conduct and Oversee technical / feasibility studies and investigations.
• Compile, Approve and Oversee Process studies (Process consumer load list for CSA department)
• Review project kick off / progress meeting minutes & provide input where necessary
• Prepare, Manage, Approve and Oversee Man-hour estimates for Proposal
• Oversee working relationships with key clients / contractors
• Review, Approve and Manage Process technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
• Management of change orders and scope of works
• Resolve interdepartmental and client issues timeously, this includes seeking higher level authority if required
• Review Process Reports, provide relevant feedback & Recommendations
• Manage and Oversee department budget & planning with Project Controls / Ops
• Review & Approve Man-hour Projections and resource planning (DMP)
• Allocation of work packages & staff timesheet approvals
• Ensure effective utilization of resources, skills and abilities within the Department
• Perform departmental performance appraisal and implement KPI's, KPA's as is necessary for the improved performance of individuals and the department

Job Qualifications

• BSC Chemical Engineering
• HAZOP
