    Accounts Administrator

    Job description

    Overview Role:

    The primary function is accounts, while secondary functions are logistics coordination, office administration and internal sales. In the longer term, as the business grows, this role will likely evolve more towards accounts.
    Employer: A small business, great company culture, growth potential, modern workplace environment. Operations are national and sometimes international.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Accounts
    • Invoicing & daily accounts management
    • Preparation of payments to be made & filing of invoices
    • Maintain cash book & capture entries into accounting system
    • Month-end bookkeeping & reconciliations
    • Logistics Coordination
    • Schedule transport for collections & deliveries
    • Maintain and update inventory records and location of goods
    • Other related logistics & administration duties as assigned
    • Office Administration
    • Assist with reception / PA function (answer incoming calls, schedule appointments)
    • Administration of office consumables and facilities maintenance
    • Internal Sales
    • Follow up on routine sales with existing customers / suppliers
    • Convert new enquires into sales of standard products

    • Protect and promote the business and interests of the company, to preserve its reputation and goodwill
    • A can-do attitude and willingness to bring positive energy to any situation
    • Other duties and responsibilities may need to be performed from time to time during employment with the company, based on its operational requirements.     • After-hours work as and when required

    Requirements

    • 4 Years verifiable experience in bookkeeping or business administration
    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification (advantageous)
    • Computer literate
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Fluent in English & Afrikaans
    • Logistics administration related experience
    • Polymer & raw material knowledge (advantageous)
