Principle Specialist - SCM Enablement at Vodacom

Job Summary

The core purpose of the role will be to support the EHOD: SCM Enablement to deliver support to the SCM category teams and the Global functions and to constantly optimise the SCM tools, processes and reporting that delivers against agreed value add targets and measures while securing the delivery of projects, goods and services across the local & regional category (or categories) to support Vodafone’s business goals, thus effectively managing risk.

Requirements

The role is positioned in the Enablement Department of Supply Chain Management within Vodacom (Pty) Ltd.

• The individual will be responsible to deliver systems and solutions that enable the optimisation of the end-to-end supply chain and are managed diligently.
• The individual will be responsible to identify opportunities in the business and design fit for purpose solutions.
• The individual will be required to work on a strategy and tactical level but also delve deep into the detail of systems from a business perspective and to provide input and then support global tool and process execution and management of the delivery of Operations and Enablement strategies.
• The design, implementation and periodic distribution of related reports to stakeholders.

• Elicit requirement from stakeholder and design fit for purpose solution in SCM
• Understand thestakeholders and identify root causes of problems.
• Develop and implement customer focussed solutions in the business within end to end supply chain
• Identify and implement quick wins in alignment with the full picture.
• Assist stakeholders in the change management journey with process changes
• Responsible for transformation in business to new process
• Assist the local and global IT team(s) in delivering tool based solutions from business perspective
• Provide Reporting
• Manage business area demands in accordance with the Vodafone SAP Life-Cycle

• Conduct effective requirement elicitation workshops and solution design session.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to all key stakeholders based on a stakeholder analysis map.
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions.

• Develop content for the training of new system functionality.

• Support the continuous improvement culture strategy and assist in deploying throughout Vodacom.
• Continually analyse process and procedures for opportunities to eliminate waste, streamline for efficiency and utilization of emerging tools and techniques.
• Monitor project performance and post implementation business realisation.
• Drive process and people transformation in SCM and project management communities

Knowledge And Experience

• Minimum 6 years of SCM /finance and business improvement experience
• Good business acumen.
• Experience in writing Business Requirement Specification documentation.
• Experience in management reporting; design & preparation.
• Good understanding and experience of procure to pay and SCM.
• Experienced in managing change and transformation.

• Minimum 8 years related Supply Chain Management or Finance experience.
• A degree in accounting, financial management or supply chain management.
• A post graduate qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Qlik Sense
• Advanced MS Excel user
• Related SAP experience is essential
