Responsibilities

• Evaluate items that you specialise in for insurance and auction purposes.
• Co-ordinate and catalogue items for auction.
• Attend auction previews and promote items on auction for sale within the company's and extended network.
• Participate in auctions by assisting with bidding, client service and auction related administration.
• Attend to post-auction administration and sales to ensure that clients receive the highest level of service.
• Actively build on an already established network of clients, enthusists and specialists in your field by actively networking to secure valuables for the various auctions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in your speciality of either ceramics or classical cars
• Proven track record and/ or demonstrated knowledge in area of speciality
• Strong network of like-minded enthusiasts would be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage with high networth clients and their families
• Strongly client centric
• Ability to multi-task, organise, and prioritise work
• Driven, passionate, proactive and diligent
• Keenly interested to grow knowledge and network in area of expertise through research and networking
• Great attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt to change
• Open to work on weekends and extended hours during auction periods, which is an inherent requirement of the position
