MMG's Kinsevere Operation is a world-class copper mine located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Kinsevere's Maintenance Department is a key contributor to the operation's track record of success in exceeding the site's nameplate capacity of 60ktpa, producing over 80ktpa of LME-grade copper cathode per annum and maintaining an overall (fixed) plant availability in excess of 95%

The maintenance professional who assumes this people leadership role will be known for holding a high benchmark in terms of safety, volume and cost. Your considerable experience in a comparable base metals processing environment will enable you to effectively coach and mentor local talent.

• As our preferred candidate, you'll hold either a mechanical trade and/or tertiary qualification and demonstrate insight into the maintenance challenges (and solutions) associated with semi-autogenous grinding, solvent extraction and electrowinning. Implicit within this is having an awareness of reliability and continuous improvement techniques balanced with an understanding that getting the "fundamentals" right comes first.
• A track-record in identifying and developing high potential employees with experience in a comparable expatriate trainer/coach role highly regarded as will French language skills.
• This initial two-year limited tenure assignment is being offered as a 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off FIFO basis from your nearest international airport.
