We are looking for a dynamic Logistics Manager to join our Pinetown factory team in South Africa. The role will be responsible for logistics activities within a factory and drive cost reduction, service levels, effective utilization of warehouse and logistics activities. Implement Cluster priorities and initiatives in the factory logistics areas.

The role reports to the Integrated Logistics Director.

Role Responsibilities Include:

• Lead the implementation of Logistics initiatives at the factory level and drive overall logistics and warehouse costs down, while improving or maintaining service level towards customers.
• Lead factory logistics and optimization of internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and mid term capacity utilization and efficient usage of working capital.
• Implement and lead a good warehouse, transportation and logistics resource management in the factory.
• Implement logistics activities at factory level for a lowest possible total logistics cost.
• Drive the expansion of WCM (world class manufacturing) to attack Logistics losses (both in costs and service level) in the PackMat factory.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who meets the following minimum criteria:

• Relevant Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain (MBA would be an advantage)
• 5-10 years experience in handling factory/warehouse logistics
• Factory – FMCG industry experience
• Management experience required (manage a team of logistic coordinators/administrators/forklift drivers etc.)
• Attributes: Assertive, attention to detail, good communication, proactive, good financial skills, strong leader, good stakeholder management
• Must be a South African citizen (EE targets apply)
