The Mukuru IT OPS Support Team is growing and we are extremely excited to announce that a new opportunity has become available for a 1st Line IT OPS Support Engineer to join the team based in Pretoria. This role reports directly into the 1st Line ITOPS Support Lead and will be responsible for supporting business end users and maintaining the Desktop operating systems as well as conduct general maintenance tasks of all IT-related hardware/software.

The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Is Not Limited To

• To provide 1st Line desk side and remote IT support.
• Responsible for handling support of service requests which relate to all technology including; workstations, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.
• Monitor and Escalate all alerts and system anomalies to the 2nd line support team
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, quality control and security protocols and processes
• Contribute towards the company knowledge-base
• Qualifying and documenting the problems raised by users
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services
• Stay updated with latest industry developments and trends
• Liaising with external suppliers.
• Assist with 1st line support tasks as needed

Key Requirements

• Grade 12 / or equivalent (Essential)
• Completed / Enrolment in A+N+ and Microsoft certified professional course (Essential)
• Knowledge of network principles
• Knowledge of general IT hardware and systems
• Customer service experience (Desirable)
• Experience in IT support (Desirable)
