B-Com in Accounting / National Diploma in Accounting or relevant qualifications with Accounting Ill*Knowledge of GRAP standards and other relevant legislations
4-5 years’ experience in finance.
Driver's License is essential.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to section 65 of the Municipal Financial Management Act, municipal policies, and procedures for management of creditors by verifying and processing of tax invoices from service providers and suppliers.
Prepare and capture all payments that are fully authorized by the relevant signatories in the financial system.
Update and ensure clearing of accounts.
Perform monthly creditor's reconciliation and report/investigate deviations.
Monitor all expense accounts monthly and report/investigate deviations.
Assist in compiling information for GRAP compliant annual financial statements (payables, accruals, and retention) and internal /external audit.
Liaise with internal and external audit.
Ensure proper record keeping of expenditure management data and files.
