    Position Details

    The Sanlam Personal Finance (SPF) cluster is responsible for Sanlam’s retail business in South Africa. SPF provides clients across different market segments (entry-level, middle-income, affluent, professional market and business owners) with a comprehensive range of appropriate and competitive financial solutions.     Position Description

    Sanlam Broker Distribution is a dynamic, innovative and high performance distribution channel, committed to the value of independent intermediated advice and to long-term relationships between brokers and their clients.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing Sanlam’s solutions to a vested portfolio of independent and corporate brokers. Must be comfortable working in a target driven, competitive, sales orientated environment

    Key Responsibilities

    • Broker Support: Provide education, training, product advice, sales support process, support and manage new business requirements
    • Sanlam Financial Solutions: Do product comparison intervention between Sanlam and competitors and sensitise brokers regarding Sanlam product features
    • Broker Relationships: Facilitate business partnerships between brokers, broker consultants and Sanlam.
    • New Business: Identify business opportunities for brokers
    • Canvas new broker contracts to grow panel of brokers.
    • Forge relationships with relevant SBD resources (i.e.: Dotss, Legal Advisor etc) and Head Office staff that can assist with marketing/sales initiatives, and gain market intelligence

    Minimum Requirements

    Imperative: Driver’s License and own vehicle

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • B Degree in Business Science, Commerce or Law, CFP or full qualification in Wealth Management is essential.

    Experience

    • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Broker Consultant.
    • Being a Broker Consultant in current position would be advantageous

    • Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (RE1 & RE5)
