Job Description

Salary: ZAR 85,000-90,000 per month + local package

The Role

• Manager and lead a team of 4 sales executives as well as 1 HR executive and 2 GSAs
• Market the company’s image within the region, expanding the company’s brand to local and regional travel agencies within South Africa
• Increase the airline’s load factor in the region to make the airline more profitable
• Manage the day to flight schedule in and out of Johannesburg
• Look to agree leasing deals with smaller regional airlines
• Reports to VP – MEA

The Requirements

• REQUIRED – Relevant experience in the airline industry with at least 2 years in sales manager positions
• Good organisation skills as the candidate will be managing the flight schedule for the airline in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe
• Experience in making deals on the ground with GSAs and GHAs
• Must have a passion for forging relationships with local travel agents
• Experience working in South Africa is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in marketing roles is favourable as the candidate will be the airline’s brand ambassador in South Africa
• Be able to clearly convey contract negotiations and issues to senior management
