    Business Development Manager

    Job Description

    • Prospect for potential new clients
    • Cold call, as appropriate within large organisations or SME organisations with either large National footprints or smaller Regional opportunities
    • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the targeted organizations
    • Research and build relationships with new clients
    • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with company’s team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
    • Participate in pricing the solution / service
    • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
    • Use an Entrepreneurial and Strategic mind-set to engage via personal entertainment and corporate relationship techniques to open doors to potential new business for the company on a Regional or National basis.
    • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and large business footprints that will lead to an increase in sales and relationships.
    • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Related tertiary qualification
    • Minimum 8 years Sales / Marketing / New Business Development experience
    • MBA would be beneficial
    • Successful candidate should be highly networked and have the ability to create, maintain and leverage off senior relations that will ensure business growth for the organisation.
    • Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Research, Identification of Customer needs and challenges, Strong Business Acumen essential
    • A charismatic, presentable and self manages individual with the ability to work in an unstructured and in a non-corporate manner yet portray to potential clients and businesses a professional and highly structured individual.
