    Debtors Clerk

    Job Advert Summary

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 2 years full function debtors experience
    • Credit Management
    • Computer literacy
    • Analytical with exceptional numerical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Confidentiality
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receiveable processes
    • Results & deadline driven
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Checking and approving of invoices/ credit notes
    • Full Debtors function
    • Allocation and matching of payments from bank statements
    • Attending to internal queries
    • Opening and updating new accounts
    • Reconciling of the debtors single account
    • Follow up on overdue invoices, contact customers to resolve payment issues and potentially initiate collection actions when necessary
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures related to accounting and collections
    • Updating and maintaining client statements
    • Managing age analyses in clearing small balances and escalating risk accounts to District Manager
    • Managing client portals
    • Adhoc projects

    • Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis so as to know when they are worn-out and also request for replacement
    • Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse
    • Providing any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties.
    • Staff Management & Training – Able to impart skills and empower staff
    • Stock taking and Quality Control
    • Ordering and Issuing of stock
    • Maintain high standards of Hygiene & Safety
    • Adhoc Admin Duties
