    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    The purpose of the job:

    In the context of its international development, Orange applications for business is committed to growth the revenues within IMEAR region and more specifically in the African market. For this reason, we are looking for a Sales Expert in Johannesburg to play a business development manager role and support the regional sales team to look for the new logo and upsell OAB portfolio to existing accounts.

    Main Missions & responsibilities

    • As a sales expert, be the Subject Matter Expert in Africa for the following domains:
    • IoT (Devices, Networks, Platform)
    • Big Data (Analytics and reporting)
    • Application development (with focus on Mobile application)
    • Africa market use cases (Assets mgt, Fleet Management, Building management to address Oli and Gas, mining, industry verticals and others)
    • Assess the potential of OAB market for Orange Business Services in Africa based on the existing regional marketing information & intelligence. Analyze the different market components to define a clear Target Market List (TML) for OAB in Africa.
    • In line with the regional sales team, develop contacts with the prospects/customers at the CxO level / BU owners to promote Orange Business Services / OAB know how to support them in their digital transformation.
    • Develop OAB pipeline by creating and qualifying profitable deals targeting new and exiting accounts in line with the regional sales management.
    • Achieve OAB sales orders and revenues targets for the identified opportunities in Africa; act as the primary interface to the Sales team on all sales related activity from opportunity identification to contract signature including but not limited to:
    • proposal generation,
    • contract negotiations,
    • communication both internal and external of provisioning status,
    • and assistance on customer issues after implementation.
    • Closely work with central teams; assist in the development of sales account plan to address the defined customer markets.
    • Work effectively with regional pre and post sales teams to ensure a good customer experience and best use of time and resource.
    • Measure and communicate progress against half-yearly targets via accurate and timely reporting, forecasting and pipeline development (using OBS / OAB tools).

    • Passionate about driving sales and developing a new market.
    • determined to succeed, with the ability to go above and beyond expectations.
    • Customer oriented, sound interpersonal skills, with preferable experience in working within an international organization
    • Fluent in English and French is a bonus but not essential.
    • Assertive, persistent, good listening skills, dedication & ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Experience

    • 10+ years’ of sales experience in an international context
    • Strong historical experience on finding, identifying and selling solutions mentioned above to large multinational customers
    • Excellent history of reaching and surpassing personal and work-related aims and targets, which lead to a profitable result for the company.
    • Hunted new accounts and developed strong relationships with strategic customer stakeholders
    • Oversaw the development of opportunities from their identification to closure.
    • Experience in doing business in Africa
