The Team:

The managed services consultancy service looks deep into the inner workings of the clients identify the ways in which they can make existing IT work harder, better and more cost-effectively for clients as well as establishing which new solutions might add that all-important competitive edge. This team services over 13 international clients from Durbanville, Cape Town.

Senior Redhat Linux support engineer

• Red Hat Linux a must (3-4 years support minimum supporting a Red Hat estate)

• Exposure or healthy interest in cloud technologies (especially Azure)
• Systems management / monitoring toolset exposure (e.g. Nagios etc)
• Scripting knowledge / exposure (perl, powershell etc)
• Good all round platform knowledge (networking, IP, storage, virtual servers etc)
• Backup / recovery processes
• A disciplined operator used to looking after “grown up” estates and already gets ITIL processes (ideally would have an ITIL foundation certification)
• At least basic understanding of any desired state configuration tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• At least basic understanding of any Software Defined Storage solution like Gluster, Lustre, Ceph
