The Astute development team is looking for strong technical team members to build the foundation and target roadmap of the Astute Exchange, an initiative to provide a central hub for data exchange as an agreed standard throughout the industry. Our technology stack predominantly includes C#, MVC, Entity Framework and SQL. We strive to remain relevant in terms of the technology and as a principle ensure that our staff is effectively skilled. We place a great deal of focus and funding on training for both an individual’s role and their personal development in order to maintain our class leading standards.

Astute offers successful candidates:

•  Gain in depth knowledge on the technical makeup and best practices of data switching platforms within the insurance industry
•  Gain knowledge of transition architectures and strategies between legacy solutions and current technologies
•  Explore advancements within our architecture target state cloud solutions including integration frameworks, workflow engines and mobility frameworks boasting cutting edge delivery of advancements within technology
• Accountability and Deliverables
•  Provide quality system development services for the Astute Information Technology team in order to implement and sustain a best-practice framework
•  Real-time software development that provides data exchange services to the financial services industry
•  Identifying, troubleshooting and debugging defects in designated application code
•  Execute full lifecycle software development

Knowledge and Skills

•  Relevant B degree
•  Minimum 3 years of experience in System Development
•  Relevant SQL knowledge (Tables, Views, Procedures, Functions and Jobs)
•  Knowledge of MVC and WCF
•  Knowledge of Kendo UI beneficial
•  Knowledge of IoC beneficial
•  Knowledge of Entity Framework is beneficial
