    Senior Sales Executive: Forex

    Job description

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To drive new business growth within Sasfin Forex in accordance with the stated goals of the Company;
    • ŸTo identify and refer new business opportunities within Sasfin Group (cross selling opportunities);
    • To develop and maintain brand awareness within strategic markets;
    • To establish and maintain strategic alliances and networks; and
    • ŸTo assist senior management with ongoing retentive marketing efforts.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Ÿ Achieve annual sales targets in accordance with budget
    • Ÿ Co-ordinate sales and marketing efforts within own portfolio of clients
    • Ÿ Ensuring ongoing market exposure
    • Ÿ Meaningful reporting to senior management on the sales effort

    DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

    • Understanding of the foreign exchange market as follows:
      • Calculation of spots and swaps;
      • Administrative understanding of Forex system capabilities and the impact to client requirements; and
      • Strong administration ability.
    • Ability to sell and manage cross referrals;
    • Marketing of services to our preferred market;
    • Quantify, measure and report on the sales effort within own portfolio;
    • Building the prospect pipeline;
    • Managing the process of bringing new clients on board (client agreements, FICA, setting up client profiles, bank liaison);
    • Managing and updating the company’s CRM system; and
    • Internal company administration as required.

    • Existing clients
    • Networking events and strategic alliances

    • Understanding sales and marketing and the tools used

    • Co-ordination and planning of resources

    • Relationship building with many role players (internal and external)

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITY / SKILLS

    • Minimum Matric/Grade 12 certificate
    • Minimum of five-to-ten years’ Foreign Exchange experience in sales and marketing
    • Business or marketing degrees or diplomas are advantageous
    • Administration with strong attention to detail
    • Business reading and writing
    • Sales background
    • Must be FAIS compliant
