Grade 12 certificate (Std 10) required or equivalent.
1 – 2 years’ experience as a General Worker.
1 year experience in the Tourism Industry.
Proficiency in two languages (including English) is essential.
Occupational Health and Safety knowledge.
Time Management skills.
Good communication skills.
Planning and organizing skills.
Willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays as required by the supervisor.
Knowledge of operating general garden tools.
Added Advantage:
Occupational Health and Safety certificate.
First Aid level 1 certificate.
Chainsaw certificate/ competency.
Brush Cutter certificate/ competency.
Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning duties (terrain duties, garbage removal, cleaning of picnic areas, ablutions, office buildings, and surrounding areas) to prescribe set standards of SANParks.
To maintain equipment, machinery and tools within the incumbents’ capabilities.
To assist with collection of supplies when necessary.
Have a knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and to ensure a high level of OHS practises are applied.
