culminIT based in Durbanville, Cape Town is seeking a candidate as our Development Team Lead.
The Development Team Lead will lead our delivery team to develop high quality solutions for our clients. The incumbent will work closely with the Product Owner to ensure that the solutions meet the business requirements, and that the software is delivered in a controlled
fashion. Applying the best combination of theory and practice to create the best software deliverables, the incumbent must be passionate about software development and be experienced in designing and developing tiered applications. Above all, the Development Team Lead should inspire and direct the team.
Role Duties & Responsibilities:
The role covers the full development cycle, including systems analysis,
Day-to-day line and technical management of a development (and in future a test) team
Delivery on commitments
Problem solving
Apply the best combination of theory and practice to create the appropriate solution.
Worked closely with the Product Owner(s) to understand the system functional and non-functional requirements
Plan and execute projects
Provide Product Direction
Assist with Product Design / Architecture of current and new products
Project Planning / Management
Coordinate Sprint Planning & Sprint Releases
Conduct the Daily Scrum Meetings
Document Standards & Processes
Assist with development (where required)
Perform Code reviews (if required - team are new to C#)
Convert Functional Requirements into detailed technical specifications (including design, back-end and front-end)
Client facing (Demonstrate leadership abilities to our clients with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on targeted release schedules.)
Provide leadership / coaching, motivate and lead team members - improve performance levels and career development
Assisting team with technical problems
Ensure sufficient processes and tools are in place to meet the requirements of the business and customers.
