    Junior Delivery Manager

    Job description

    This role will also involve regular liaison with delivery centres based in Shanghai, China and Carlsbad, USA. As a Delivery Manager in the Africa region you will have oversight of multiple projects and also be looked to as the leader on people management, our people's professional development, management reporting and business improvement initiatives. This role is key to our success in delivering to the expectations of our client and we are looking for someone with a passion for delivery management, software development and customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Development, maintenance and monitoring of project/release schedules, ensuring that agreed time frames are met and in line with the expectations of the Client.
    • Maintain good relations with Client and Account Manager and keep them aware of the status of the planned release schedule
    • Reporting of release progress internally, including envisaged Issues and Risks, delays to schedules, and progress against (esp. manpower) budget.
    • Track progress against projects and release plans, assess the performance of the assigned resources, ensure that technical issues are resolved in a timely manner, and that the Hansen SDLC is appropriately followed.
    • Management of staff including all HR aspects including performance reviews and ownership of their professional development.
    • Assist in delivery of SLA performance targets for all Clients
    • Design considerations and enforcement of the SDLC and the various processes used by the delivery teams to release error free software

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • A minimum of 5+ years experience in a similar role.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle based enterprise applications.
    • Ability to plan and manage project schedules within time, resources and quality constraints.
    • Experience of working in an Agile environment
    • Works with team members to develop their knowledge and skill levels associated with the technical and industry aspects required for the role.
    • Able to foresee and communicate internal and external customers' concerns and take appropriate actions.
    • Experience of taking ownership of customers' problems to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve them.
    • Commercial awareness relating to client plans and opportunities, as well as internal cost management.
