Key Responsibility Areas

• Provides advice/information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications associated with basic or average complexity Electrical Building Services Engineering processes encapsulated in specific projects of a broadly defined nature.
• Applies principles and techniques associated with the development and presentation of technical electrical building services designs.
• Co-ordinating sequences associated with the preparation collation of contract documentation and/or the evaluation tender applications.
• Controls the implementation/outcomes associated with time, quality and cost of specific basic and average complexity Electrical Building Services Engineering contracts.
• Disseminates information on the professional and technical aspects of electrical building services engineering design concepts and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.

Special Conditions

• Appointment or progression to Senior Technologist level will be subject to applicants achieving the required number of credits that would be deemed as a pass in the internal Assessment Test.

• Coordinating and/ or guiding sequences and procedures associated with the preparation and collation of contract documentation and/ or evaluating tender applications for average complexity or complex forms of electrical building service engineering works
• Defines appropriate standards and controls the implementation! Outcomes of average complexity and complex forms of Electrical Building Services Engineering contracts.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements (SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST (EBS) 36005642B)

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (NQF Level 7) in Electrical Engineering or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Registered as a Professional Electrical Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• Valid motor vehicle driving licence (Code B or EB).
• 3 Years relevant post qualification experience.
• Computer Literacy.
