    E-Learning Specialist

    Job description

    ROLE PURPOSE

    We are looking for an experienced and creative eLearning Specialist who will be responsible to design, develop and maintain eLearning programmes in line with operational and business needs.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Human Resources, Learning or Learning Technology qualification
    • Instructional Design certificate (preferred)
    • 3-5 years' experience in designing, developing and implementing interactive eLearning programmes and courseware, preferably within an insurance or financial services environment
    • Expert level in eLearning authoring tools. Working knowledge of platforms such as Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Audacity etc would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of eLearning applications including Learning Management Systems and educational technologies
    • Ability to work independently, on multiple projects, under pressure
    • Excellent attention to detail

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

    • Development of eLearning material:
      • Liaise with business stakeholders to determine learning needs and outcomes
      • Plan and design storyboards which may incorporate a learning blend
      • Design eLearning modules and courses
      • Manage the partner relationship where eLearning or components thereof are outsourced to a 3rd party provider to ensure that the brief is met and costs are controlled
      • Design appropriate assessment tools
    • Drive learner adoption:
      • Keep abreast of trends, learning technology and best practices within the eLearning and instructional design field in order to optimise learner adoption (e.g. responsive design, mobile content, gamification, video etc)
      • Assist in building learning technology capacity within the business
      • Work with the business to drive the uptake of eLearning and assist learners in transitioning from Instructor Led Learning to eLearning
    • Drive performance improvement:
      • Develop measures of success, expected business impact and return on investment for all learning and development interventions
      • Conduct quality assurance testing of the course material in various environments and learning platforms
