Key Responsibility Areas: 

• Schedules periodic service and maintenance to various items of firefighting equipment used by the department. 
• Conducts inspections of / and assesses the general condition of all items of equipment in service within the department. 
• Conducts checks, tests and passes out repaired / serviced or new fire fighting equipment. 
• Conducts activities associated with the trouble shooting / fault diagnosis and maintenance to specialised breathing apparatus equipment. 
• Completes and records internal documentation. 
• Interprets and applies systems, routines and procedures. 

Essential Requirements: 

• Trade Tested Artisan (Petrol or Diesel). 
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC). 
• 4 years relevant post trade test experience.
