    ICAS Sales Representative

    Job description

    Macmillan Education provides world class content in the most relevant, engaging and flexible formats to support students, teachers and institutions through a lifetime of learning. Macmillan Education produces content for English Language Teaching (ELT) and for Schools curricula around the world. Whilst Palgrave Higher Education develops and distributes textbooks, e-books and interactive e-learning resources primarily for University-level students.

    10 month Fixed Term Contract

    Department: Department of International, Digital and Trade

    Location: Johannesburg with national travel

    Salary: Market Related

    Reporting to: Head of International, Digital and Trade

    Reference number: SR/MSA/130317

    Purpose of the Job:

    Market, sell and give customer support in relation to the ICAS product and its related benefits as well as other Macmillan international products.

    Requirements:

    • Matric (minimum)
    • 2 Years sales sale experience
    • Knowledge of/experience with assessment related product (Advantageous)
    • Exposure to / understanding of the education sector (Advantageous)

    • Excellent Interpersonal Skills and ability to meet the demands of the market as well as suppliers
    • Ability to build long term, trusting and influential relationships
    • Sales style that is respectful, supportive, systematic, exact and logical
    • Able to promote key selling features with confidence and clearly
    • Ability to interpret and explain analytical results
    • Ability to see projects through to completion
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Fluent in English, ability to speak Afrikaans is advantageous
    • Mature and professional presentation

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Marketing and Sales of the ICAS product as well as other Macmillan product to key customers which include teachers, principals and school governing/management bodies and the department of education
    • Assist in development of marketing plan for the ICAS product
    • Ensure customers are given excellent customer services from all relevant Macmillan departments
    • Provide schools with constant sales support in relation to registration for the product as well as delivery
    • Provide schools with detailed product result analysis and subsequent support and recommendations
