Job description

Air-Tec is seeking suitable candidates for the Maintenance Planner position, based in Bedfordview.

The duties will include:

• Forecast and schedule routine maintenance of aircraft using Air-Tec’s approved aircraft maintenance program.
• Prepare work packs and co-ordinate with maintenance department to ensure maintenance downtimes are minimized.
• Plan long-term maintenance forecasts for aircraft Life Limited components. Prepare and issue workorders to maintenance line stations, satellite stations and heavy maintenance facility.
• Review task cards after each revision and update with changes. Follow procedures and documented all changes.
• Evaluate and schedule Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) as per the company's Engineering Order Instructions.
• Inspect compliance documents to ensure conformance with company & regulatory guidelines.
• It will be his / her responsibility to update routine & non-routine tasks in the system according to the company and manufacturer's maintenance program.
• Perform Technical record functions which include maintaining and updating of Airframe, Engine and propeller Logbooks. Update aircraft techfiles and modification files.
• Have full accountability for the maintenance of all log books to ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Authority.
• Work closely with the Technical Librarian to ensure that all technical records and publications are up to date and fully compliant.
• Generate the CRMA’s required post maintenance by effectively obtaining daily reports and work packs from main base.
• Ensure response and implementation to any corrective action resulting from internal and external audits.
• Also prepare Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) Packages for C of A renewal of the Aircraft.
• Co-ordinate all maintenance extensions with the Aircraft Maintenance function and Responsible Person Aircraft. (RPA).
• To ensure that all technical references/procedures relating to maintenance being performed under the organisations AMO license is available at all times when required by all appropriate members of Air-Tec Aviation Maintenance and kept current.
• To ensure that all maintenance undertaken is planned accordingly and to have oversight on the maintenance progress.
• To ensure that all the requirements prescribed in the Manual of Procedures are complied with.
• To ensure that all records pertaining to each job are filed together and available on site at the main base and satellite stations.
• To ensure that the procedures used in the performance of maintenance associated with the AMO licence privilege are adequate and that inspection records made are such that all maintenance is fully traceable.
• To ensure that all parts are provisioned for in accordance with the aircraft manufacturer’s recommendations.
• To oversee and ensure control of all parts and materials to be used during the execution of the AMO license privileges in order that the origin of all parts - both stored and permanent - can be traced to the source.
• To ensure that all safety regulations prescribed by the local authorities and State are complied with by Air-Tec Aviation Maintenance.

Educational Background:

• Matric essential or equivalent T3
• Maintenance Planning Certification Essential

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in Aviation industry
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Maintenance Planning of fleet size 15 aircraft
• Expert knowledge of SACAA regulations Part 12 -145

Knowledge:

• EASA 145 preferable
• Basic Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft
• Proficiency in processing and producing Airworthiness Directives
• Maintenance Management Systems – preferable WINAIR
