Our Client, a JSE listed and one of the leading Food & Beverage companies with a growing footprint in Africa is currently looking for a procurement specialist to negotiate and purchase engineering equipment and spare parts for the maintenance inventory, operational chemicals, materials, supplies and services at the best overall value, while ensuring that the pricing, quality, timeliness and quantity aspects are consistent with the requirements of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and selecting the vendor to procure requisitioned engineering commodities from as informed by the buying mix of price, quantity, quality and delivery date.
• Examining and analysing engineering purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information.
• Provide procurement-related information and support as required to the functional managers and other internal customers for planning, project and operational purposes.
• Undertake cost analysis for key project management.
• A Degree/National Diploma in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent coupled with 3 to 5 years buying/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment is required. SAP experience will be strongly advantageous. Exciting career growth potential for motivated employees!
