Main Roles And Responsibilities

• Overseeing the cargo operations for Johannesburg to ensure that all handling and loading of cargo is done according to CX safety and security standards and procedures;
• Supervising the GHA cargo controllers and cargo agents to ensure that correct policies and procedures are followed when handling CX flights, including mail;
• Cargo reservations, shipment queries, tracking and tracing of shipments, load planning, arranging of relevant transit permits, preparing CCA’s, payment requisitions, general account queries and invoices, overseeing offloads, recording of flight figures;
• Monitoring the port ULD stock levels and ULD control in conjunction with Swissport Cargo Services and Menzies ramp agents;
• Cargo sales (external and general telesales)
• Preparing weekly and monthly performance reports
• Preparing monthly ad hoc rate reports for Cargo Manager approval
• Supporting offline Kenya (NBO) station with cargo bookings, queries, track and trace and general queries;
• Handling of all operational and office functions during the absence of the any of the cargo team members
• Supporting Cathay Pacific in the event of an Emergency or Accident in the role assigned to him/her

Qualification And Experience

• Matric
• Airfreight knowledge - Imports and Exports
• Airfreight Experience an advantage
• Computer literate (word, excel and email and airline system an advantage)
• Familiar with freight loading

• Essential for all Applicants to own a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
