Job description


As a Cloud Solutions Architect at Dimension Data, you will your key function will be to take responsibility for leading a team of Technical and Senior Solutions Architects on all levels, focusing on the operationalization of cloud technology, and solution strategy for the Data Centre business and clients.

What we expect you to do

In this capacity we will need you to deliver on the following:

• You will be required to advocate the CBU product offerings within the region. This will entail the presenting of the DD CBU cloud value proposition to key accounts.
• You will be required to interact with large enterprises, relying on an expert level of cloud technology and market understanding to provide solutions of a high complexity.
• You will take responsibility for participating or leading in scope of work determination, product and services pricing models and analysis of requests for proposals and/or requests for information.
• Using your excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, you will assist the regional account teams define, manage and ensure client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which will require the involvement of the appropriate resources, and setup and delivery of the POC.
• We will rely on you to assist the regional account team (sales and architects) to develop and select the optimal technical solution within standard product definitions.
• We will need you to provide product and cloud solution proposals in line with specified client requirements.
• We will rely on you to research and maintain an understanding of sourcing trends within the market and understand the role of new technology in the development of efficiencies within cloud services.

 
Practice Management

Dev-ops

• have an understanding in programming and logic
• have an understanding of software development
• monitoring, automation & orchestration through application programming interfaces

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

• Previous Cloud IAAS experience
• Experience offering and designing managed solutions to the Enterprise
• A relevant 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience
• At least 10+ years’ experience in a Solution Architecture role within a related industry.
• Experience architecting a service based cloud solution
• Project management experience.
• Defined consulting experience in a multi-vendor environment with Cloud solutions
• You will be required to coach and mentor teams
• Must be a team player
