    Leaf Planning Executive

    Job description

    British American Tobacco currently has an exciting new opportunity for a Leaf Planning Executive, to be based in our Heidelberg factory on a permanent basis.

    The job holder will ensure leaf availability for the factory in the most cost-effective manner & will oversee leaf tobacco budget and durations as per company plan and budgeting cycle.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Plan shipping requirements from domestic supplier to the factory based on future factory requirements to ensure 1.5 months stock cover at the factory, or as per stock-holding policy.
    • Monitor supply from GLP to ensure sufficient stock to supply the factory as per stock-holding policy.
    • Provide an accurate view of leaf demand for GLP planning on a monthly basis.
    • Continuously ensure alignment of leaf supply and demand in line with stock policy and latest approved budget.
    • Ensure lot succession plan is followed, working with RPC and QA.
    • Ensure accurate and up to date master data and conditions for all materials, including relevant NPIs and project requirements, working with RPC, QA and Finance.
    • Monthly and quarterly reporting of leaf stock, durations and value as per the SOP and QPR business cycles.

    Requirements

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or related fields
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an FMCG company of which experience in the Supply Planning community will be an advantage
    • Knowledge of basic finance and logistics, particularly around stock management and shipping procedures
    • Knowledge of statutary requirements regarding Excise and Customs
    • Computer literate (SAP, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes/ Windows)
    • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Trouble shooting & problem solving skills
    • Organising Skills.

    • Decision making personal responsibility for development
