    Sales Executive

    Job description

    THE ROLE

    Job Summary

    Promote and sell ACI’s full suite of Universal Payments (UP) products, services and solutions to new clients within an established growth market territory, supporting the Company’s new business revenue goals and ensuring increased revenue growth.

    General Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage sales processes in full, from open to close, using ACI resources and tools to assist.
    • Promote and sell products and services to new clients and develop new account relationships.
    • Solicit and maintain a network of prospects and develop a pipeline of new business based on this.
    • Initiate contact with prospects to sell targeted ACI products and services.
    • Work as a member of the ACI sales team to sell assigned products or services to identified key accounts.
    • Recognise opportunities to cross sell and initiate the process with the relevant parties.
    • Prepare and present high quality proposals to clients utilising ACI resources and tools.
    • Open, negotiate, structure and close “deals” that meet customer expectations and ACI’s ability to deliver; utilise appropriate company resources per the resource plan to provide product marketing support or specialised product sales expertise.
    • Assist in the development of sales plans and strategies.
    • Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with Sales colleagues in order to achieve a positive and cohesive team mentality.

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    Educational Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

    General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including a more focused knowledge of ecommerce and a strong understand of retail and cards.
    • Excellent negotiation skills with an air of gravitas and a highly polished approach to all client interactions.
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Significant experience managing C level Stakeholder interactions specifically with Large Financial clients.
    • A high level of experience structuring complex sales cases on multi-million dollar deals.
    • Patient approach to often long and challenging sales cycles.
    • Solid decision-making and problem solving skills.
    • Analytical skills and capability to determine client needs and requirements.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple levels from technical staff to senior managers, externally and internally.
    • Resilience, tenacity, and persuasiveness.
    • Goal driven, hungry for success and self-motivated.
    • An existing network of contacts within the financial services landscape is advantageous.
    • Preparedness to travel as required to regularly meet with clients and potential clients.

    Specific Requirements of the Role

    • This is a new role within South Africa and has been created to address the ambition of ACI to further extend its influence and increase its client base in addition to nurturing and growing existing client accounts.
    • The role will be based in Cape Town, though travel will be required.
    • The successful candidate will operate very much in “hunter” mode, and be responsible for delivering new clients to ACI supported by software, services, and legal teams.
    • The successful candidate will be required to develop their own territory plan, qualification of inbound and self-generated leads and secure contracts for ACI’s full range of UP solutions.
    • Target clients/prospects will include Financial Institutions across South Africa.
    • This ‘hands on role’ presents a significant opportunity that will suit somebody who is able and prepared to engage with the organisation as a whole, in the process delivering real success to the Company.
