Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

To contribute as a member of the marketing team to achieve corporate objectives. To be responsible for the graphic design elements of the marketing function that represent and coincide with the Corporate Identity of the business. A successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Marketing Coordinator.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work in a team environment and independently
• Carrying our briefs per deadlines
• Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
• Schedule project implementation and work with budget constraints
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
• Run internal Roland industrial printer through versa works

NATURE AND SCOPE:

As the Junior Graphic Designer you will be expected to:

• Have excellent communication and time management skills;
• Work independently when required;
• Continuously learn and improve skills;
• Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to the highest standard;
• Perform related duties as required
• Be creative and willing to add value to their design
• Flexibility and able to work with quick turnaround times
• Have strong graphic, typography, and print design skill
• Must be proficient in:
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Corel Draw

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Certificate
• Diploma / Degree in respective field
• Very good understanding of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Publisher & Word)
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Social media Knowledge
• Must have own transport
• Work experience in printing field advantageous
