Automation Engineer at Systems Anywhere

Job description

Systems Anywhere require a strong performance-driven individual, smart, dynamic, execution and delivery focused Automation Engineer who has the ability to work in a Project team.

Required Skill Level:

• An intermediate understanding of PLC programming and the methodology thereof. Practical knowledge of at least one of the following industry automation platforms: Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, Allan Bradley, Omron
• An intermediate understanding of SCADA development and the methodology thereof.
• Practical knowledge of at least one of the following industry supervisory platforms: Wonderware, Siemens, Schneider, Allan Bradley
• An intermediate to advanced understanding of database management systems (SQL) and the methodology thereof
• An intermediate to advanced understanding of S88, S95 standards
• An intermediate understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• An intermediate understanding of Manufacturing Information Systems (MIS)
• An advanced understanding of troubleshooting, fault finding and route course analysis
• An intermediate understanding of electrical principles and the methodology thereof

Advantageous:

• Electrical Design (ePlan, AutoCAD etc.)
• Industrial control system design
• Object oriented development (C#, Java etc.)
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.)
• Version control systems (Git, CVS etc.)
• Quality control systems (ISO, GAMP5 etc.)
• Project Management Degree/Diploma/Certificate
• Wonderware Certification
• InTouch
• Historian
• System Platform
• Schneider Electric Certification
• Unity Pro & PAC
• Networking
• Vijeo Citect
• PlantStruxure
• Experience in the IT Industrial Industry, VB.Net, C# and SQL Server would put you above the rest.
• 1 x Position available at our Cape Town office
• 1 x Position available at our Gauteng office
• The candidate must be willing to travel and have own transport.
