    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    Simpson Booth are currently working with a specialised corporate travel provider who service the Oil and Gas sector in Africa.

    We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help our client expand their client base. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

    This role will be based in South Africa, so you need to have the right to work in SA if applying for this role. (Sponsorship is not available)

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
    • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
    • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
    • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
    • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to rules and guidelines
    • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
    • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
    • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

    Requirements

    • Proven working experience as a business development manager within the Oil and Gas sector in Africa. This experience does not need to come from the corporate travel sector, Oil and Gas sector experience is more important.
    • Proven sales track record
    • Experience in customer support is a plus
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
    • Proficiency in English
    • Strong Oil & Gas market knowledge & personal network with senior management
    • Communication and negotiation skills
    • Ability to build rapport
