Area Manager Cosmetics at TFG (The Foschini Group)

Job description

Foschini Cosmetics is an exciting business contributing significantly to the company’s income revenue.

We are looking for a driven, passionate, high performance individual to fill an exciting opportunity as Area Manager Cosmetics based at our Gauteng Division.

This area is in need of an achievement orientated person with experience in a retail environment.

Partnering with internal and external business partners, your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to, and implementing the cosmetics strategy within the Division
• Driving turnover by among others, identifying opportunities to achieve targets, with particular focus on top stores
• Identify new business opportunities to increase market share
• Design and implement action plans to grow the cosmetic offering within the Division
• Monitoring and controlling expenses within Cosmetics
• Managing stock losses by identifying high risk areas, and providing input into action plans to minimise risk
• Involvement in the recruitment, development, performance and talent management of the cosmetics teams in stores
• Managing cosmetics stock and ensuring optimal levels in stores
• Representing cosmetics as the brand ambassador for the division
• Act as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring implementation of the customer service strategy

You will need:

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of cosmetics and the cosmetic industry
• At least 1-2 years experience as a field manager in cosmetics or operations
• Ability to build and manage relationships
• Ability to influence at different levels
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• An ability to drive targets and profit
• An independent operator, able to make quick decisions
• High level of customer service orientation
• Ability to manage multiple business partners
• An understanding of financial / budget indicators
• Experience in managing a team
• High attention to detail
