Reporting directly to the Executive Director-Operations, the incumbent will be expected to deliver the following key outputs;

Requirements

Qualifications and expertise required (Must-Have’s)

• B.Sc, Engineering Degree. A post graduate business qualification or recognised professional status would be an added advantage.
• 10 – 15 years production and manufacturing experience with 5 years operations or production management leadership. Experience in operation of large capital intensive hazardous chemical plants is preferable.
• In-depth knowledge in OHS Act and Explosives Act.
• Broad understanding of people management, industrial relations and leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of the application of lean tools (Lean Manufacturing Systems).
• Knowledge of supply chain models and best practice.
• Ability to analyse and interpret strategic and systemic trends / indicators within broader supply chain and business functions.
• Ability to work in and with cross-functional teams, interacting effectively with multiple levels of the organization.
• Understanding of change management capability and associated strategic models.
