Overview:

Responsible for understanding and driving the overall technical vision and planning of an organisation and translating business needs into technical strategy. An understanding of inter-dependencies between various systems and infrastructure is key to ensure alignment to the overall strategy.

The ideal candidate will also be involved in designing and building data management solutions, developing architectures to analyse and process data in a way that adds value to the organisation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferred 6 years of experience in Analytics/BI, Data management (sourcing, consolidation, rationalisation, warehousing etc)
• Excellent customer interaction skills to present proposals, articulate analytics value to customers and lead customer engagements with a matrix structure
• Desirable to have strong knowledge in data management domain and consumer data analytics
• 5-7years of consulting/solution delivery/engineering experience in Finance/ Mining or Enterprise market.
• Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and ability collaborate with peer teams.
• Ability to develop relationships with partner companies and vendors.
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics or an equivalent Engineering degree required.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to architect large scale big data analytic systems.
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience on Hadoop/Spark based distributed storage and computing frameworks.
• Good understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical methods such as predictive modelling, pattern recognition, text mining, sentiment analysis, index building, clustering.
• Knowledge of AI related technologies and Data Science.
• Proficiency in several technologies in the Big Data ecosystem, such as SQL, NoSQL, database design, ETL, Talend, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark, HBase, Flume, Mahout, Scoop, Kafka, H2O
• Experience in programming scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Perl, Scala
• Experience in analytics tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, RapidMiner, Knime
• Real-Time analytics and batch processing
• Strong experience in architecting analytical applications in cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Openstack
