    D-bit Payroll Manager

    Job description

    Purpose of the job:

    As a Payroll Manager, your primary role is to ensure the accurate delivery of payroll to LSC’s workforces through effective management of various aspects of the payroll department and physical system interventions and monitoring. This includes the accurate administration of employee earnings and deductions, the processing of statutory taxes and addressing employee and business complaints and queries.

    Minimum requirement:

    • Matric
    • Degree (BCom) or Diploma preferably a Payroll or Finance qualification
    • Min of 5-7 years Payroll Management experience.
    • Financial experience will be an added advantage
    • Must have DBit experience

    • Ability to cope in a stressful and demanding environment
    • Computer literate, with good excel skills
    • Familiarity with general accounting principles
    • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
    • Exquisite math and numerical skills

    Key Performance indicators:

    • You will be required to coordinate and manage the payroll process for the company and clients
    • You will head up a payroll team in which instance you will ensure they carry out their duties both accurately timeously.
    • A Payroll Manager is required to check and audit all payrolls to ensure accuracy and legislative compliance (tax compliance etc.).
    • A Payroll Manager will ensure that any company benefit programmes ie. medical aid, pensions, bonuses etc. are managed efficiently and effectively.
    • You will also balance monthly recons and submit reports to the company’s Accounting/Finance department.
    • Manage systems and suggest changes/upgrades as and when required.
    • The Payroll Manager will also be required to submit management reports, liaise with HR staff regarding new appointments, terminations and other relevant matters.
    • The Payroll Manager will be ultimately responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of both the Payroll Department and Payroll Software system in place.
