    Business Intelligence Analyst

    Job description

S-RM is looking for exceptional candidates to join our Business Intelligence analyst team within our growing Cape Town office. Our Business Intelligence division investigates companies and individuals on behalf of clients worldwide. Our intelligence feeds into due diligence for major transactions, customer and supplier on-boarding, internal investigations and litigation. Our clients include major multinational companies, investment banks and developing market investors, and the majority of our work is undertaken in emerging markets.

Analysis is the heart of our business, and we pride ourselves on the calibre of our analysts and their development. Successful candidates should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a passion for business and politics, sharp analytical skills, and a strong academic track record. An understanding of the financial services sector and/or legal system is preferable. We provide a mixture of internal and external training for analysts to promote their development, in addition to mentoring and ongoing support for their careers.

Analytical work at S-RM is varied and challenging: projects range from a few days to several months, and your work will focus on different industries and countries. With every project you will be expected to build up knowledge of new industries, political trends, commercial developments, and key figures within business and politics. You will be responsible for leading open-source intelligence projects and become skilled in using a range of research tools and databases, and receive training in our approach and analytical methodologies.

Applications from graduates as well as more experienced analysts are welcome. Due to the international nature of the work, additional languages are a strong advantage. Eligibility to work in South Africa is required.
