Purpose of the Job:

To provide application and escalation support within KPMG South Africa’s networking and communications team.The day to day operational function for this position includes but is not limited to Microsoft Lync (2013), Microsoft Exchange (2010) and MS SQL.

The role also includes escalation support for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, CRM, BIZTALK, Retain, general server and networking problems.

Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities

• To ensure the smooth running and operation of the Microsoft Lync, Exchange and SQL environments and related messaging systems like Mobile Iron
• Regional support including sub-Sahara countries
• Direct report to Manager within the team
• Ensure the various SQL server environments are well maintained
• Good PowerShell Hands-on Experience Is Essential
• Escalation support for Network related problems
• Back-end application escalations
• Projects related work
• Mentoring of junior team members
• Be vigilant with support calls as per defined SLAs
• Capacity management for areas of responsibility
• Collating reporting data and producing reports
• Contribute to budget process
• Vendor Management where applicable
• Enterprise Experience Is Essential, (3 Or More Years)
• Critical Technical Skills or competencies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Technical ability is crucial for resolving problems
• Higher than average understanding of Microsoft products and network troubleshooting as listed in the job specification

Qualifications And Experience

• Enterprise experience is essential, (5 or more years)
• Relevant MCP qualifications and experience for MS Lync, Exchange, SQL, Windows Server,
• Active directory, etc.
• ITIL Foundation
• MCSE
