UI_UX Engineer at Quintica

Job description

We are actively seeking ‘Great People’ to join the Quintica family.

We are looking for a UI_UX Engineer to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record as a UI_IX Engineer and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the user experience and user interface design and delivery assurance for all product development streams (inclusive of the Quintica CXP platform) in support of organizational strategy and objectives.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Design, or another related field.
• More than 5 years’ experience in user interface design and user experiences design for software products

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience designing for mobile.
• The ability to communicate design ideas to stakeholders, developers and product managers.
• Demonstrated success and leadership in application of UX process for shipped products.
• Creating flow diagrams, user journeys/scenarios, as well as low and high-fidelity wireframes and mock-ups.
• Creating detailed designed user interfaces.
• Understanding of web, desktop and mobile usability principles with a portfolio of projects to demonstrate it.
• Must have excellent Photoshop/Illustrator skills.
• The ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• An understanding of latest design trends.
• Experience in creating UX designs in an Agile development process.
• Expert knowledge of industry standards and design patterns.
• Expert at responsive design with a mobile-first mentality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with key product stakeholders on regular basis to define requirements and prioritize key product features.
• Design, develop, position and tightly manage the design UI/ UX blueprint that will span all products and service solutions.
• Ability to work with development teams to execute best design solutions within technology constraints.
• Ensure adherence to design guidelines and best practices across all platforms.
• Work closely with the Development and QA Teams to ensure successful implementation of the specified designs.
• Scope and create templates/collateral for our sales team.
• Facilitate usability testing and evaluate user feedback to further improve the concept or existing products.
