    Channel Manager

    Job description

    Description

    As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales aspects for the partners in the African Region. You will manage all sales activities and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. You will be tasked to establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for partners.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of sales goals and profitability
    • Develop and support the Channel Market across new territories as the need arises
    • Responsible for the performance and development of all sales activities across the African region partners
    • Responsible for achieving the assigned sales quota
    • Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
    • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
    • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
    • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all prospect leads submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
    • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted to partners and clients.
    • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses
    • Assists Pre-sales team in preparation of proposals and presentations
    • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
    • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
    • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    • BA, MBA preferred or equivalent and 5-7 years of experience in account sales management in the African region.
    • Business Development identifying, developing and maintaining alliances with African Oil & Gas EPC's
    • Wireless Broadband Solution Sales Channel Partner Management across the Africa Region
    • Business Development focused on solutions to communication needs in alternative market segments of Oil, Gas & Utilities, National Security and Public Safety
    • Managing fixed broadband solution projects through Channel Partners & Systems Integrators
    • Established list of CXO contacts within the Channel Partners & Systems Integrators
    • Established relationships with Resellers, VARs and System Integrators in the African region
    • Extensive experience in all aspects of sales reporting systems and processes
    • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
    • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
    • Proven leadership and ability to generate sales and produce results
    • Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems, and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution.
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills in English and French (Optional)
    • Must be able to communicate technical details in a clear, understandable manner
    • Super organizational skills
    • Whatever it takes' attitude and motivation to do whatever necessary to assist in closing a deal.
