Job description

• Develop JAVA software products in a Technical programming environment located in Pretoria
• Assist in systems engineering function where product software can be combined for user required functions.
• Design, develop, test and document JAVA programs and modules according to engineering detail designs.
• Develop modular reusable product code in line with existing design practices.(More Agile focused)
• Optimize code to ensure it meets product expectations and user specifications.
• Develop test code to assist in testing of modulw and system level testing.
• Produce high quality software according to defined time scales.
• Functional Experience: JAVA(SE) , Oracle DB, JAVA FX Open GL graphics, Big data databases and appliances like , No SQL database: Neo4J, Real time data processing, audio processing, JBPM and communication systems.
• Prototype new technology for use in software program modules and systems.
• Application Field: Telecommunications, Defense, Fusion data systems, Data analytics

• Top degreed and experienced individuals in computer science, multimedia, computer engineering and electronic engineering who enjoys R&D and systems integration work.
• Be a team player and fit into current committed and experienced team of developers.
• Own initiative and energy welcomed!!!
• Bonus: Agile, Waterfall and ISO/Milstd development skills
• Be self starter and take initiative on development work.
• Provide, commit to time estimates on intended scope of work, and be willing to persevere to reach delivery milestones.
• BSc Computer Science, B Engineering, B Information Technology are typical qualifications of successful candidates.
• Junior to senior positions available.
• South African citizenship is essential(only).
• International exposure foreseen as well as post degree study support possible.
